Annual General Meeting

Our AGM was held on Thursday 19 February in the Public Hall and there was a great turnout, despite a clash with a Bridge event up at Stowe and some of our customers being on an outing with the Winslow Community Bus.

60 people came along to give Vron a good send off as she stepped down from the committee which she has run since the inception of the group. She was presented with some cards with many well wishes and some gifts as a thankyou for all she has done. Her involvement continues running groups and driving but not as Chair.

Sue Keane has now kindly stepped up as Chair for the next twelve months.

The 60 attendees were made up of people from many local organisation such as the Lions, Rotary, the local Council and ABC Winslow plus many of the volunteers that are the beating heart of the organisation.

Cakes were as good as ever and enjoyed by all after the business was completed.

Spring is nearly here! We need to put winter isolation to bed and get our friends and neighbours out into the sunshine.

About us

Winslow Big Society Group is a volunteer organisation set up in 2012 and became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in August 2018.

We seek to identify gaps in general services and provision to the Winslow community and to provide what is realistically achievable to fill these. We work with other organisations for mutual exchange of ideas and support.

The group was formed for the benefit of the residents of and visitors to the town and civil parish of Winslow and surrounding areas by promoting social inclusion, social welfare, physical and mental health, relief of poverty and to promote such other charitable purposes.
