Winslow Wheelchair Vehicle for wheel chair users.
WHAT & WHO IS THE Winslow Community Car Scheme (WCCS) for?
It is designed to provide a weekday daytime transport service for the people of Winslow, of all ages, unable to access other forms of transport, to meet their requests for transport to local health providers and social purposes in Winslow and near villages. It does not cover Hospital Appointments. For these, please contact your GP surgery who link with the North Bucks Hospital Car Service to arrange transport.
WHEN DOES IT RUN? Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays) with journeys starting between 8am until 6pm. Please give at least 24hrs notice (excluding weekend).
WHAT ARE THE COSTS? - Check the prices on the downloadable document below.
What do we ask of you?
Please allow plenty of notice, at least 24hrs, and give as much information as possible when you book, be punctual, have the right money and remember the drivers are volunteers!
Oh yes – and give us feedback and ideas for the future to improve the scheme.
Who can be a driver?
Volunteers need to have their own car with insurance and be a good driver. Mileage expenses will be paid at up to 45p a mile. Local knowledge is useful!
Who is responsible?
Winslow Big Society Group* runs this scheme in liaison with various Community Transport Bodies. Contact the Co-ordinator on 07508 330750 for information.
